Day 225 - Family Fiesta

How would it be if each of us could rent the hall of our dreams, invite our favorite people to a private show and exchange gifts and appreciation in splendor and grandeur. Sometimes the Holidays feel like snug rooms with low fireplaces and snowed in weekends. Others a bit more spacious and lavish.

I’m imagining something unique today. Something like renting Disney Hall and having a performance by some of my favorite artists to share with not more than fifty of my closest family and friends. I’d ask John Renbourn, Brian Eno and Casino vs Japan to perform. And no, not holiday medleys.

But I would ask a traditional choir to carol in the anti-chamber. I think it would be interesting to dress up the inside of parts of the building in a traditional style and especially interesting to do a gift exchange and tree lighting in some of the private sections of the building.

I’m not sure if the space is available today, but, if it is, I’m sure they’d take a large check to open it for us.

Catering would be nice. Games and activities for the adults and kids. A stiltwalker or two. Maybe a trampoline. It would be fun to have an unusual party where Tim Burton and Queen Elizabeth would feel right at home. I’m sure it can be accomplished for today’s entire sum.
