How I’m Playing

This page describes how I am playing this game. The original framework for the game is posted here on how the game is played.

Where it began, for me:

My room-mate is a big Abraham-Hicks fan and as a gift she copied the pages from the book Ask and It Is Given which introduce the concepts and practice of the game. She also printed a ledger and pages of checks drafted from the Bank of the Universe, creating an imaginary account.

What I’m using:

I love this set-up, and it has me totally inspired.

What I like about it:

Signing checks feels very good. In fact, I think signing the check with a very descriptive memo line is what cements the process.

So, whatever method you use, I recommend having a register and checkbook.

What I’d love:

I’d love to be able to play this on my iPhone (and one of the desired outcomes of this site is the coordination of that effort) and I’d like to play in the social environments I’m in (Facebook, etc.).

If you think those are good ideas, please leave a comment below and I’ll forward them to the right folks.

So, that’s me and how I’m playing.

What others are using:

Some people have told me they’re using Quickbooks to set up a fictional account.

I'm a Tactile Learner so Signing is Key

If you are playing along, I invite you to post the way you are playing in the comment section, or head over to the Tools & Resources page and leave a comment there. (If you’d like your tool included on that page for others to use, please mention it.)

One key thing to remember is that this game is for fun. Yes, stretching the Imagination Muscle can feel like an effort, but as it gets more familiar with the feeling of arriving at Joy, the easier it gets.

Alright gang! Just a few more days and we’re off and running. I appreciate all your comments before we even start. I had no idea how much fun this could create and all of you are the biggest part of that.

I appreciate you!

Production Note: All entries are staggered by several days to complete permissions to reprint, etc. All of it is written real-time and edited for clarity.

^^ it’s funny how sometimes we need to plant a seed and then come back later to actually let the seed grow :)

I think I saw this game a while back and pondered it, now that I think about it, but wasn’t ready to take it on quite yet either.
