Day 170 - Life by Design

October 31st, 2009 No comments

The more I play, the easier it gets to see the shape of my life as I would like to see it. Two simple checks today. Neither of them in celebration of the Holiday. And that’s okay. Trick or treating is taking care of itself while the Universe is wrapping itself around the words in this game, making a way for each of these entries to come true in Divine Time!

I’m adding $75,000 to the House fund, bringing the running total up to $800,000. It is amazing how fast it grows in the game. I recently watched (and posted) a little video explaining the game and was reminded of how good it is to feel these desires getting closer from a place of “allowing.”

In a space beyond resistance, it is wonderful to feel the good of each desire instead of the lack of them. Good stuff. I’m beginning to feel what it will be like to cross the threshold of that house and to walk into the yard. I can envision pumpkin carving parties and holiday soirees, homework in the reading nook and swimming in the pool. Seeing it so clearly, and even feeling myself inside the home, with no resistance to how it will get here is super powerful.

I’m really appreciating being on the other side of what this game offers. Just last week I was going sort of nuts with it. Glad I hung through.

Also today, I’m putting $95,000 toward a personal chef. I love to cook and eat well. This person will plan and prepare major meals for the week and be our primary chef for major events. That budget is $60,000 salary for the year and $35,000 discretionary for events. There’s something about putting the planning and execution of food into the hands of someone who treats it like an art that feels really good.

I’m interested in assorted foods from many continents and cultures. And, I require the meal plans to support optimal health for me and my loved ones while suiting each of our tastes.

This will be awesome. Personal chef. More personal professionals to follow. How exciting!

Day 169 - Opening To What Is

As the tenor of my life is shifting I’m reminded of what has been the most important part of playing this game. I’m beginning to have the source and supply of abundance arrive through channels I can trust and enjoy completely.

In the past, I had this paradigm that was invisible to me. It said that money was exchanged for struggle and toil. That the source of money was somehow soiled. What a drag, no?

Wow am I glad that is changed.

Today, I’m putting more jing into the casa. I’m getting kinda psyched to get into some new digs. It will be awesome to have a view out my window and be steps from the beach. Helicopter landing pad on the roof. Just kidding. But it is nice to see that shaping up. Today I put another $100,000 toward the house which brings the total to $725,000.

With the remaining $69,000 I’m creating a mixed grant/loan fund to a company that I have a lot of faith in. It’s called Soul Tree and its a space that is offering women in particular a space to explore self healing through sensual dance including the vertical pole.

That’s not their sole focus, but it is a core competency and an emerging field. I think one of the great things that is coming out of our emerging consciousness is that what people enjoy isn’t measured in some morality. Its just what they enjoy. And so, because something has a sensual element doesn’t make it distasteful or harmful. The intrinsic artistic nature of things that once were vilified are champion over this surface mindset that has condemned so much beauty in the past.

Many of these women get super acrobatic around this and its kind of inspiring to watch. While this isn’t a hobby for me, I think the people it is a hobby for would like to see their resources growing and expanding and so I am making this hybrid gift/loan available. The way that would work is, the $69,000 would be set into an escrow account. $45,000 is available for expansion efforts free and clear. The remaining $24,000 would be established as a an overdraft fund, available if necessary, collateral that could be borrowed against. If used it would be repaid at 6% monthly, and could be returned at any time within the two year term of the loan if never used.

I’m still learning how to loan/gift, so if I learn more in the future, I’ll make the necessary changes to make the deal work. Is that called “l’gift”, or “g’loan”? Not sure.

For now, it’s nice to feel like this artform is getting the support it seeks.

Day 168 - Catalyst

The more I play, the more my desires are crystallizing into experience. It’s really starting to snowball now. I know I’ve just recently begun putting money into the account for a new house. And I’m going to keep doing that, but I just ran into a physical opportunity to invest in and support a movie I feel very excited about. The return on investment is over seventeen per cent from the first money out, and the producers are offering five percent equity on the back end. The picture is locked and looks great. This investment is for print and advertising.

"What Is God?"
“What Is God?”

They’re not requesting anything small. And that’s good. I believe in it completely, and in comparison to other movies in the vein that have come before it, what they’re looking for isn’t astronomical either. If any of my friends out there would like to peruse the financials, shoot me an email. I’m very excited about it.

The premise of the film is simple and you can view the project here.

  • One Filmmaker
  • One Question, “What is God?”
  • 23 Countries
  • One Year

It looks outstanding and is slated for release in about a month, so this is a very present opportunity. Please let me know if you are reasonably interested. I’m excited to support this project in reaching impact.

In the game, I’m putting $100,000 toward that today.

Also today, I just realized, I still have nearly two hundred days left of this game to do it for an entire year. That feels immense! I’ve spoken about re-working the look of the site and I’ve gotten some feedback from a few people about directions they’d like me to take it. Green is a common request. Lots of green.

I’m going to give that a couple days, and I’ll be putting $18,000 of game money to the designer I choose. Thank you in advance for the creative soul that brings that about!

Lastly for today, $50,000 to the new house ($625k the new total there). The more I think about it, the more I feel like setting up a place where multiple families can live in peaceful inter-being. With space to be themselves and space to coordinate. It seems funny I feel that way now, after growing up in a version of a commune. I want to be close to the people who are special to me, close enough to have unscheduled conversations. And, I want to have enough space to wander around, be on my own without running into anyone for a time, if I feel like it. Enough for everyone to have what they want.

I know it can be accomplished. The longer I’m here the more I see that whatever I set a clear intention on can happen with little difficulty.

I’m super grateful to all the people who’ve been part of the journey as I prove that to myself over and over. Thank you You-know-who-you-are! (Hint, you are probably reading this right now.)
