Day 78 - Sharing the Love
One of the brilliant and moving aspects of this game is the opening it creates for truly generous circulation.
I’ve had other folks who are playing the game (see blogroll) contribute their game money toward my Big Dream and it just feels really good. And while not all of them have larger than life causes to drive and call them into a new way of being, they do the practice of stretching their imagination daily in order to arrive at a foundation of joy.
Today I feel like reciprocating.
So, as of today, there are seven folks on the blogroll. Those are all daily (or nearly daily) players who really go for it. Each of them gets $10,000 unconditionally today. Go, surprise someone, have fun. You have earned it.
I also wonder who else there is out there, playing along, that I haven’t discovered yet. I’m loving the community that’s evolving, the inspiration that is taking place, the expansion we are all uncovering together.
It’s moving
The remaining $8000 goes to Black And White Biplane Company. They’re in a jam. And I never would have known if I hadn’t given to charity. Here’s the details.
Last year I was at a dinner for Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International, (HSMAI) an organization that keeps Hospitality Industry professionals connected. There was an auction to raise money for the organization. One of the packages was a 30 min biplane ride and a four hour limo ride.
I bought it knowing it would make a great experience for my son’s birthday. (If you’ve been reading, you know his birthday was yesterday.) Unfortunately, business has gotten to the point where Black and White Biplane was not able to honor the gift certificate without charging their cost of the flight.
It took awhile to arrive at mutual understanding and we did it. And still, the $125 they’re asking for is out of range of the wallet I’m holding. So, I’m certain that by applying $8,000 in game money to their circumstance by inviting all my online game buddies for rides something magic will happen and the gift certificate I got for my son’s birthday will be fully redeemable in a reasonable time.
There’s something remarkable that happens when we put game money (positive attention and energy) on things in the world. They appreciate and become effortlessly possible. It’s pretty cool.
So, hold good thoughts for Brian Beker, owner of Black and White Biplane, and for Romeo, the birthday boy, who is patiently eager to enjoy the ride in the sky in celebration of reaching ten years of age.
PS. The limo company must be going through the same thing. They haven’t called back to honor the certificate or schedule a ride. It’s amazing how tough people can make times. I’m knowing all is well.
